ECON 322: Econometric Analysis 1 focuses on estimating linear models using ordinary least squares (OLS) and interpreting estimates for cross-sectional data. Students will learn to analyze coefficients of linear models with continuous and discrete regressors, conduct inference for different error specifications, and identify the best linear model. The course covers topics such as simple and multiple regression models, inference, asymptotic properties of OLS estimators, functional forms, forecasting, regression with dummy variables, heteroscedasticity, and model misspecification.

Prerequisites include ECON 101, ECON 102, ECON 221, and specific statistics courses, with enrollment in designated programs such as Accounting, Financial Management, or Faculty of Mathematics.
